Cylinder Heads

Remanufactured Cylinder Heads are remanufactured to factory specifications using the
latest equipment and technologies. Cylinder head "cores" are oven-baked in large
cleaning ovens which are State-of-the-Art in degreasing and cleaning technologies.
After all the grease is turned to a fine powder, they are washed in a bio-degradable
bath. After each head is thoroughly cleaned, each head is magna fluxed and pressure tested
for cracks.
After each head goes through this process, the remanufacturing
begins. Each head has the mating surface milled back to the original surface specifications.
This
process is done on a "fixed bridge" milling machine to insure 100% accuracy .
Most
rebuilders "surface’ their cylinder heads on a large belt sander, which just
cleans the surface and does not machine it back to factory specs. A warped cylinder head
will never seal properly causing the head gasket to leak.
The next
process is to replace the valve guides with brass guide inserts.
Valve seats are replaced,
valves are re-ground with a 3 angle-cut (some heads are shipped with new valves),
assembled and tested for shipment to our customers. RePower Cylinder Heads are
remanufactured by ASE certified machinists.
